European horror finds a bus containing five students (Molly Dew, Zak Sutcliffe, Sophie Jane, Zander Emlano, Jack Kane) taking a shortcut after a roadblock bars their passage through their normal route. Once on this road through the middle of nowhere, they encounter, not only a serial killer, but a vicious creature as well.
Ho-hum horror is directed by Alessio Liguori from a script by Daniele Cosci. Aside from presenting one of the worst shortcut choices in recent movie history, there isn’t much of interest here for horror or any other movie fans alike. There is little suspense or scares and the directing is strictly by-the-numbers. The creature is OK, but nothing thrilling or frightening…nor is the serial killer (Daniel Keyes) for that matter. Despite the youthful cast giving it a good go and the creature looking decent enough, there isn’t much to recommend in this routine monster movie/youth bonding flick. Also stars Terence Anderson as the bad decision making bus driver.
